wedding photos for nostalgic lovers
As you anxiously check the mirror before the ceremony, your proud parents share a heart-felt embrace with your soon-to-be in-laws. As you enjoy a wine with friends at the reception, the kids are playing lawn games outside. As you pose with your family for photos, your high school friends are reminiscing by the open fire.
We’ll be there to capture it.
The big moments and the adventures in-between, your day goes by in a blur and when you’re left with that soft glow of lingering bliss, your photos will be waiting for you to relive it all over again.
love stories
Mel and Dom married on a chilly Melbourne evening at the warehouse-turned venue Two Ton Max in North Melbourne. The day began with separate preparations, Dom at their home and Mel at Ovolo Hotel in South Yarra. The Ovolo was a stunning backdrop for a quirky retro first look and photoshoot, followed by an intimate tea ceremony in the hotel room. We stopped by the Hardimans Hotel for a quick drink and some snacks before walking over to Two Ton Max, where Mel and Dom’s closest friends and family patiently waited for their arrival.
Angie and Dave married at National Arboretum on a sunny April afternoon… We felt truly honoured to be invited to photograph this wedding, especially returning to a city where Marty grew up and Dani spent years studying in. Despite both living in Canberra, We had never met until Angie introduced us in Melbourne… so this wedding was extra special for us because Folkstone would not exist if it weren’t for Angie! Congratulations to a super sweet couple, and thank you for trusting us to capture your love story.
When it comes to weddings, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach – each couple has their own unique vision for their big day. For some, it’s all about the party and making sure their guests have a great time. For others, it’s a more intimate affair focused on family and close friends. And then there are couples like Vivian and Mike, who wanted their wedding to be a true reflection of who they are as a couple – modern, fun-loving and with a strong emphasis on family. Vivian and Mike had contacted us the month the pandemic hit us in 2020. Like many of our couples this year, their wedding was a long time coming!
Starting the day with traditional Chinese tea ceremonies at both family homes, we documented the sweet welcoming of these two lovers into each other’s families. After a grand church ceremony and bubbly exit as husband and wife, we made our way to the city for photos with the iconic Parliament House as backdrop.
The reception was held at Metropolis Events on the bank of the Yarra River- What a jaw-dropper of a location! The views from the nine-meter floor-to-ceiling windows are truly unparalleled, looking out to Princes Bridge, Flinders Street Station, and the floating Arbory Bar on the water, all set against the Melbourne CBD skyline.
These two lovebirds booked us for their 2020 wedding, but like many other couples had to push back their date a few times before it stuck. On a beautiful February day, Marija and Charlie said “I do” at the edges of the grapevines of Oakridge Winery. Before the ceremony, we had a sweet first look at Cloudehill Gardens.
9 years after a serendipitous meeting on a London train, an ambitious Aussie guy and a passionate English girl were married at a beautiful seaside spot in Mount Eliza…
Two years of pandemic and several wedding reschedules later, Theresa and Tony were finally able to say “I do”. The day started with a traditional tea ceremony, followed by a heart-warming church ceremony at St John Baptist Church in Clifton Hill. Celebrations continued into the night with a reception at Manor on High in Epping. Thank you, Theresa and Tony, for trusting us to capture your love story.
This wedding was all kinds of magical. It was grey all morning and all eyes were on the rain radar leading up to the ceremony. Armed with a collection of umbrellas, no inclement weather was going to hold these two lovebirds back from saying their vows in front of their closest loves. The sky alternated twinkling showers with radiant sunshine all throughout the ceremony, making the vibrant autumn colours gleam with glittering rain drops. We loved everything about this wedding, and it takes on a special kind of significance as we’ve been photographing their various musical endeavours since 2016.
Thank you for trusting us, Ali and Tim.
Wow, what a backdrop for these two lovebirds! We started at the rustic Auction Rooms cafe in North Melbourne with soaring ceilings and plant-filled skylights, before trekking to Mount Macedon to photograph along the famous Honour Avenue. Tourists and locals come from all corners to take photos on the tree-lined street, especially during autumn when the leaves are vibrant splashes of orange, red, and yellow.
In our first wedding back since last year’s hiatus, we were honoured to capture Inno and Evelyn’s sweet celebration. After months of postponement and reorganising their wedding, it finally went ahead, with a tear-filled ceremony at Newman College Chapel followed by a reception at Harbour Room in St Kilda amid stunning ocean views.
